Western Caribbean Crusie

In honor of graduation, news announced from my previous post, my husband and I decided it was a perfect opportunity for a vacation. We researched a few ideas, but agreed on a cruise as we were looking forward to seeing so many different places in one vacation. We absolutely loved our experience on the cruise, Carnival Glory, and definitely see ourselves booking another one! What I really cherished was that it was a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Not to mention, the ship provided a ton of fun and entertaining activities for passengers, so there really is never a dull moment. We chose to do the the Western Caribbean because 1) it sounded amazing in itself and  2) wanted to go somewhere that spoke Spanish, so I could use my degree. We seriously had such a blast, enjoyed the abundance of delicious casual and gourmet food options, and loved meeting so many different people from travelers to workers. My favorite parts were definitely the excursions on land and being able to see the culture of each place.

The cruise was a total of seven days, with two sea days, and four land days. We traveled to Cozumel, (Mexico), Belize, Mahogany bay (Honduras), and Costa Maya (Mexico). We only booked one excursion with the cruise ship in Belize since it was a 7 hour tour, we wanted to make sure we made it back on board, but all the others we just played it by ear and asked the locals what was best. We loved how green everything was and how incredible of a blue the water was. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and we were so blessed to take such a trip!

Leaving Miami

Cozumel
We ended up going scuba diving! It was incredible, a little overwhelming and scary at first, but after getting use to the breathing it was amazing!!

 Belize
Mayan Ruins, Xunantunich "El Castillo" where the king and the wealthy lived.

 Mohagony Bay, Honduras
We opted for a relaxing day on this island, as the beaches are so beautiful!

 Costa Maya
We took a tour of another ruin site, Tulum. This was a plaza so where Mayans lived, as well as did their shopping.

So as you can see there was some amazing sights and some breathtaking views, we loved our trip and we enjoyed it via cruise ship.
